Gem Plastics Inc. is a plastics injection molding company in Wyoming, MI. Founded in 1985, Gem Plastics is a family founded and owned company. We’re also proud to offer a wide range of services, from custom insert injection molding to hot plate welding. This is just a small sampling of what we provide for our customers.
Our Founder, Michael Deyman
Gem Plastics was initially founded by Michael Deyman. He created the name Gem Plastics, which comes from the last name Deyman (pronounced “diamond”). Our company was initially operated out of a smaller factory, which was also located in Wyoming, MI.
We then purchased our current location in 1996 to give us more capabilities with more space. This building was initially 15,000 square feet.
A Family-Owned Company
The company was eventually bought by Michael’s son, Brad. Brad has grown the company tremendously from 3 employees to currently 40 employees. He also grew the company from five machines to 18 machines.
Then, in 2006, we built a 10,000 square ft. addition that gave us more storage space. Again, in 2020, we completed another 15,000 square ft. addition.
Our factory is now 40,000 square feet. As a , we use this space to give our customers a quality product in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable price.
